In her talk on meditation, Janaki discusses the most efficient and effective of these tools: Meditation. “Mental and Physical stress are significant contributors to feeling anxious and off-center” Janaki says, “A daily meditation practice gradually shifts our perspective by giving us access to our naturally calm and peaceful internal state. From this view marked by greater detachment, daily occurrences previously seeming to be overwhelming or unbearable become manageable and sometimes even insignificant. “
Ms. Pierson, co-founder and executive director of the Woodbury Meditation & Yoga Center, presents seminars on Hatha Yoga, Meditation, Stress Management, Death and Dying/Life and Living, Elementary Sanskrit, and Thinking into Being: Creating Your Own Reality. Ms. Pierson has been teaching meditation for over 35 years and has been established in her own daily practice for over 40 years.
