Ancient Healing Rhythms: The Power of Drumming

A free public program with David Miller that includes a group drumming practice followed by a group meditation. Instructions in meditation are provided.

David discusses drumming and how rhythm affects us in our lives, the role it plays in our culture, and how it can affect our heath; physically, mentally, and spiritually.

"The drum is one of the most basic and ancient instruments; its rhythm is felt by each of us, connecting us to the world itself and all of consciousness, as it pulses and vibrates through time."

David Miller has been playing hand drum since the early 1990’s and studied traditional African Drumming and polyrhythm under a drum master for 8 years. He has been actively participating in, facilitating, and teaching drumming at area drum circles and festivals for the past 30 years.
