Join us for a discussion about the effects of stress and the power of refocusing thoughts with meditation with guest speaker Robin Rodrigue. The talk is followed by instruction in meditation and a group meditation.
Robin Rodrigue is a Woodbury resident, recently retired from a 30-year career in banking. Robin has studied Eastern philosophy for many years, and first became involved with WMYC in 2003 when she joined the Foundations of Meditation class. Robin recently joined the WMYC board of directors. She has been a caregiver for elderly relatives and has dealt with their end-of-life challenges for over 20 years.
This complimentary program is open to everyone, and includes instruction and practice of meditation. WMYC is located at 122 West Side Road in Woodbury, CT. Everyone is welcome to come earlier, at 5:00 pm, for a complimentary sample yoga class.
WMYC is a not-for-profit educational institution offering meditation, yoga, tai chi/qigong and a variety of programs weekly, as well as complimentary Sunday evening events including meditation instruction.
