Living Yoga: Applying the Science to Daily Life

In this talk, Janaki Pierson, highlights how yoga benefits our mind, body and spirit. She  outlines how, as  the principles of yoga  are applied in daily life, our health improves, stress and anxiety practically disappear, relationships become easier and more joyful and we feel calm and centered.

Participants  find encouragement and inspiration to start simple daily practices, from breathing to postures to shifts in perception,  and understand how the implementation of each impacts our wellbeing.

Teaching meditation and yoga for more than 35 years, Ms. Pierson has been established in her own daily practice for more than 40 years. She teaches extensively throughout New England and New York in medical, private and public schools and colleges, hospitals, corporate, community and private settings.

Co-author of Silver Linings Storybook, her experiences  about a daily meditation practice for over 40 years will be available upon the book’s release in June 2016.

This complimentary program is open to everyone, and includes instructions and practice of meditation following the talk. The Woodbury Yoga Center is located at 122 West Side Road in Woodbury, CT.  Everyone is invited to come earlier, at 5pm, and drop in on a sample gentle yoga class with Jamie.
