COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION
Barbara Baron is our volunteer, Volunteer Coordinator and WYC's Social Director, call her at 203-263-2254 to get more involved.
- Upcoming are two traditional WYC fall community events. Let us know if you would like to help out so we can advise you of the dates.
- Taft Community Service Day, usually held on a Monday in late September. Students arrive at 9 am available to help with whatever projects we have organized: landscaping, painting, cleaning, and office work. We are requesting coordinators from WYC to volunteer to organize a project and supervise the students in implementation.
- Yurt Packing - A weekend during late October/early November will be selected to disassemble the Yurt and pack it up for the winter. With 10 or more people, we can accomplish this in less than 3 hours.
- On-going responsibilities
- Maintaining WYC's web site
- Sending out weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly e-news announcements
- Hosting Sunday evening programs
- Cleaning WYC inside or grounds
- Cooking for community events
